17th December 2015

By Rhoda Bangurah Dear Nana, How do I start? What can I say? Why did you have to go so soon. I smile when I remember our last coffee together at 6:45 a.m. on Tuesday morning, 15 December 2015, just a day before your demise. Today I look at the chair where you sat and still see your face, the smile, the laughs we shared, the whispers in the morning to make sure we are not disturbing our next door neighbors who are also early birds like us. Do you remember the picture below? It was the day of the inauguration of our new President Adesina, we were so happy and felt like stars when the camera man dashed in front of us. I will miss you, really miss you. Until we meet again RIP.
